A collision between a W line train and a pedestrian last Friday night in the LoDo neighborhood, resulted in serious injuries for one person involved.
According to the Denver Police Department, the collision occurred near the intersection of 17th Street and Wynkoop Street, on the night of January 7th, around 8 p.m.
Apparently, an unidentified adult male was trespassing in the area, when he reportedly stumbled onto the tracks, where he was struck by the train.
The man was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. As of the time of this writing, the exact extent of his injuries is unknown.
Traffic in the area was restricted for a period of time after this unfortunate collision. The police are continuing to investigate.
