The single-vehicle fatal crash happened on Highway 285 in Jefferson County on Sunday sometime before 3:30 p.m.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the driver of the vehicle involved was driving on the northbound lanes of Highway 285 between South Turkey Creek Road and North Turkey Creek Road.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified as a CSP Trooper from Arvada.
There are no more details about the cause of the crash as of the time of this writing.
