Four People Killed In An Accident Saturday Night
Four people were killed in an accident Saturday night on interstate 70 east of Denver. Eight people were in the Chevy Tahoe that ran off the road, hitting a sign then rolling and ejecting all eight. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt. Two adult males and two adult females were killed. Surprisingly the other four, consisting of one adult male and three juvenile males were not seriously injured. No other vehicles were reported being involved in the accident.
Wearing a seat belt can reduce the risk of crash injuries by 50 percent. Forty two percent of occupants involved in a car accident not wearing seat belts were killed last year in the united states. Statistics show that teens are the largest group of drivers not buckled in.
