2 dead and 2 injured in a crash at North Chambers Road Friday Evening
A fatal crash at North Chambers Road and East 6th Avenue at 8:15 p.m. resulted in one person killed and 3 injured.
The crash involved four cars and an electric bike, according to investigators the suspect, who was driving northbound in the 500 block of North Chamber road on a red Honda CRV, crossed the center median and started driving in the southbound lanes.
The Aurora Police Department reported that the driver hit an electric bike at the entrance of a shopping center; the biker didn't suffer major injuries because was able to get off before the strike.
Police said the suspect then hit a total of 3 cars, including another Honda CRV. A 41-year-old woman who was in the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man was taken to the hospital with two children. The man is in critical condition, a 9-year-old boy suffered minor injuries. Sadly, a 5-year-old girl was pronounced dead in the hospital.
The driver of the red Honda was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries and was later arrested for Vehicular Homicide and Driving While Under the Influence.
