Driver hit a motorcyclist and fled the scene
Driver hit a motorcyclist and then fled the scene. The crash happened on 38th avenue between Independence and Johnson on Tuesday.
According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle that sped off after the crash.
Later, the authorities located the car, but the driver and passenger fled the scene and haven’t been found yet. This is an ongoing investigation.

Fatal crash near Aurora airport
The fatal crash happened arount 11:45 a.m, in the area of East 40th Avenue and Pena Boulevard, on Saturday afternoon.
There were three vehicles involved in the crash, according to the Aurora Police Department, and unfurtunately, one person died.
One of the vehicles involved was a Toyota RAV4, that ran a red light at the intersection of East 40th Avenue and struck a Jeep traveling north on Airport Boulevard.
After the crash, a Subaru sedan was also hit, but the damage was minimal. The passenger of the Toyota died, and two other people were taken to the hospital.
Eastbound lanes of 40th Avenue at Airport Boulveard and westbound lanes of 40th Avenue at Pena Boulevard were shut down while authorities worked at the scene.

Fatal Rollover crash in Aurora
A fatal rollover crash happened in Aurora around 12:30 a.m on Friday, near East 16th Avenue and North Dallas Street. The crash involved a single vehicle.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the vehicle, a white Mitsubishi SUV, was speeding while traveling eastbound on 16th Avenue.
The driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over and hit another car which, thankfully, was unoccupied. Police suspects alcohol might have been a contributing factor as well.
The passenger of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver had to be taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Deadly crash near Eastbound U.S. 6
Deadly crash near Eastbound U.S. 6 around 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday caused it to close for hours while authorities investigated the accident.
According to the Denver Police Department, one of the drivers lost control of the vehicle on 6th Avenue and crashed.
Unfortunately, all occupants of the vehicle died at the scene. As of the time of this writing, it is unknown how many people were in the car.
The entrance ramps from US 6 E to I-25 reopened at approximately 10:19 a.m on Tuesday morning.

Trailer came loose injuring 2 people
A trailer came loose injuring 2 people and spilling rolling storage racks on Monday afternoon in the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 in Douglas County.
The truck’s trailer broke and cause it to disconnect and spill rolling storage racks on Interstate 25.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened around 12:30 p.m, near Sky Rodge Medical Center and Cabela’s.
One person was stuck and firefighters worked to extricate them. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. One other person suffered minor injuries.

Fatal crash in Gunnison
On Wednesday, around 9 p.m, there was a fatal crash in Gunnison, in the intersection of U.S. Highway and New York Avenue.
According to The Gunnison Police Department, a 30-year-old man was driving west on New York Avenue and when turning left onto Highway 50 he hit a 25-year-old woman that was walking through a crosswalk.
The victim was taken to theGunnison Valey Hospital immediately, and then was transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she unfurtunately passed away.
As of the time of this writing, no charges have been filed. This is an ongoing investigation.
